Mirasol
The aim of the Mirasol Project has been to establish a Boarding-House to
cater for the health and educational needs of the disadvantaged
children of the alpaca shepherds, to be funded by money raised by sales
of alpaca, wool and cotton yarns sold on a fair trade basis. In April
2009, the Mirasol Centre has been provisionally designated a School with
an official opening and celebrations attended by local dignitaries,
visitors, parents and children.

design books by Jane Ellison to support the luxurious ranges.
The collection is ever expanding and includes a deliciously
soft 100% llama called Miski, a hand dyed 100% merino wool called
Hacho, that needs to be felt to be believed as it is a merino but feels
crisp like cotton, a pima cotton (one of the finest cottons in the
world!) which is amazingly silky soft called T’ika, a wool and silk
yarn in jewel like colours called Tupa and a bamboo and baby alpaca yarn
that has a beautiful drape called Qina.
